Description
A black and white negative of a special broadcast held in Ferguson Auditorium to offically open the new Sulphur Springs radio station, KSST. University President Dr. James G. Gee is seen onstage speaking at the podium. The Music Department, Dean Frank Young (seated, far right), and President Arthur C. Ferguson participated in the special broadcast with speeches and musical performances. Remote control studios for the station were operated and broadcast from East Texas State Teachers College, and the station hosted a regular series of programs from the college.
