The Ford W. Hall Lion was dedicated to distinguished alumnus Ford W. Hall, by his family, after his passing in 2003. Hall earned a BA degree from East Texas State Teachers College, and was a supporter of the university his entire life. The Ford W. Hall lion currently stands between the McDowell Administration Building and Velma K. Waters Library.
