Construction of the new Music Building began in February of 2009, at a cost of $29 million dollars. The building hosts concerts throughout the year and has welcomed guest composers, the U.S. Navy Band, and other professional ensembles and performers. The music building currently houses all instrumental, vocal, and piano study classes, as well as music theory, conducting, and music education classes. The Music Building is located directly south of Memorial Stadium along University Drive.
