The Staley T. McBrayer Instructional Printing Facility was originally used to house the university's print shop. Primarily constructed in order to handle the increased student interest and more stringent federal regulations on printing machinery, this new building tripled the printing facility space and provided a much-needed loading dock and a darkroom for journalism students and aspiring artists. In 2009 the building became known as the One Stop Shop and was a central location for student enrollment services, solving a long-standing problem of students needing to go to many buildings on campus to complete enrollment processes. In 2020 the building was re-branded as The Welcome Center, serving as the university's "front door" for new and incoming students. The Welcome Center is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Stonewall and Campbell Streets and currently houses the University Registrar, Undergraduate Admission, Financial Aid, Veterans and Military Services, University College, Hispanic Outreach, and the Testing Center.
