Whitley Residence Hall

Whitley Residence Hall was the last dormitory to be constructed in anticipation of significant future enrollment growth. The only high-rise building on campus, Whitley Residence Hall was once considered to be the tallest building between Dallas and Texarkana. It now houses the STEM community, the Spirit Den, and the First Year Leadership Class with eight additional floors open to other students. The building was named after former university president Dr. Samuel Whitley. Whitley Residence Hall was constructed at the far south side of the main campus at the location of the former University Farm.
