Abstract
Liberal Arts courses and the skills they provide are important to the success of students in their lives and in the workforce, however the perception of the liberal arts is framed as a disagreement between utility and idealism. This grounded theory study uses postmodernist framework to center student voice in understanding their perception of skills acquisition and how studying the liberal arts is impactful to their lives and their marketability.
